Job summary

Celestica Staff Engineer, Manufacturing Process is responsible for designing, developing, deploying and optimizing processes for manufacturing to achieve quality cost and delivery goals for Celestica and its customers products.

The role involves understanding customer roadmaps, managing new process development projects, coordinating teams, and ensuring manufacturing issues are resolved across the product life cycle. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years of related experience in similar roles.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand customers' technical roadmap and identify/manage new customer-specific process development projects.
• Manage technical aspects for all new customer-specific process development projects.
• Develop the scope of technical work, coordinate the team, direct work assignments and assist with problem resolution for the full product life cycle.
• Evaluate potential manufacturing impact for each design concept.
• May be the SME for a sub-sector of manufacturing and develop best practice standards; provide training and global support.
