Job summary

Dyson in Malaysia is seeking an Associate Principal Manufacturing Engineer to serve as the SME for sustaining operations, driving manufacturing excellence across quality, delivery and cost. You will lead critical production issue resolution, SAQ activity, and mentor engineering teams while partnering with contract manufacturers and internal groups.

You will drive DMAIC, Six Sigma, lean manufacturing and root cause analysis to achieve FPY, OEE, and COPQ improvements, supporting multiple sites

Qualifications

• Lead structured problem-solving using DMAIC, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies.
• Mentor researcg and engineering teams in manufacturing improvements.
• Collaborate with Contract Manufacturers and internal teams on CAPEX/OPEX initiatives.
• Drive cost reduction, quality improvements, and KPI tracking across sites.

Responsibilities

• Support CM and internal teams to improve quality, delivery, and cost.
• Act as SME for manufacturing processes, equipment, and testing.
• Lead and coordinate resolution of critical production issues.
• Drive process optimization to improve yield and productivity.
• Provide technical guidance on manufacturing processes and automation.
• Ensure robustness and control of processes throughout product lifecycle.
• Lead SAQ improvements and support audits and CAPA.
• Promote data-driven quality culture and use analytics.
