Job summary

Comet Plasma Control Technologies in Penang seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead NPI and optimize production processes for high-tech components used in memory chips and sensors. You will drive continuous improvement with Lean, Six Sigma, and DFM/RCAs; collaborate with cross-functional teams on transfers, tooling, and automation, and coach teams toward quality-first outcomes.

A 5+ year background in semiconductor equipment manufacturing and strong SAP, CAD tools is required; hybrid

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Mechatronics.
5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in NPI.
Experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing; knowledge of HLA and electronics processes.
Hands-on with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, SPC, Minitab/JMP and process optimization.

Responsibilities

Lead new product introduction (NPI) activities from prototype to full-scale production.
Develop, optimize, and validate manufacturing processes and BOMs; produce documentation.
Drive continuous improvement to reduce cycle time and increase productivity using Lean/Six Sigma.
Investigate manufacturing issues via RCCA, DFM and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on global product transfers, capacity planning, tooling and automation.
