Job summary

DFINITI Technologies SDN BHD is seeking an experienced accountant to lead cost tracking and contract accounting for diverse manufacturing projects in Malaysia. You will manage full-set accounts, payroll allocations, and vendor payments, ensuring accurate WIP reporting and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 8+ years in accounting within industrial sectors, strong Excel skills, and proficiency with major ERP software. A proactive approach to audits and financial reporting is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Minimum 8 years hands-on accounting experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, construction or engineering sector is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in job costing and contract accounting principles.
• Strong Excel skills and knowledge of internal controls and tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Track and analyse production and construction project costs (labour, materials, equipment, and overhead).
• Perform percentage-of-completion accounting for contracts.
• Compare actual costs to budgeted costs and report variances.
• Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) inventory and physical stock counts in the plant.
• Manage full-set accounts (AP, AR, GL) and month-end closing.
• Process vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and payroll allocations.
• Reconcile bank statements, balance sheet accounts and sub-ledgers monthly.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure compliance with local standards (SFRS/IFRS).
