Job summary

ICHOR Systems Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned Cost Accountant to manage manufacturing cost analysis, budgeting and variance reporting. You will lead month-end close, validate BOM data and maintain product costs while collaborating with multiple departments to optimize cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Recognized degree or ACCA/equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• At least 3–5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong management accounting knowledge and analytical skills.
• Independent, mature, self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint; experience with Power BI and ERP systems (Oracle Cloud).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with cross-department collaboration ability.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing month-end/quarter-end closing in the inventory/manufacturing area.
• Analyse variances in work orders and absorption; identify drivers and trends; propose corrective actions.
• Calculate and maintain product costs; validate BOM cost data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Work with inventory team for accurate costing and discrepancy resolution.
• Support standard cost roll and cycle inventory counts; liaise with auditors.
• Prepare monthly management reports comparing actuals to forecasts and AOP.
• Support US GAAP, SOX, tax and statutory audits and drive continuous improvements.
