Job summary

Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad in Malaysia seeks a Senior Manager, Trade Operations within Group Transaction Banking to lead the Supply Chain Finance (SCF) product portfolio. You will set product strategy, drive commercialization, lifecycle management and ensure regulatory compliance across Islamic SCF offerings.

You will collaborate with Corporate, Commercial and SME Banking, Operations, Technology and Risk teams to digitalise processes, optimise profitability and grow revenue while maintaining

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Supply Chain Product strategy aligned with Transaction Banking and Bank-wide business objectives
• Manage the full suite of Supply Chain solutions including Distributor Financing, Vendor Financing, Receivables Financing, Invoice Financing, Purchase Order Financing and other Islamic Supply Chain Structures
• Drive product profitability, market penetration and revenue growth
• Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and identify opportunities for product enhancement, rationalisation and expansion
• Monitor market developments, customer needs, competitive offerings and emerging supply chain financing trends
• Lead the design, development and implementation of innovative Supply Chain solutions
• Drive end-to-end digitisation initiatives across SCF products and customer journeys
• Collaborate with Technology, Operations, Digital Banking and ecosystem partners to automate and streamline financing and structuring processes
• Develop value-added ecosystem propositions connecting buyers, suppliers, distributors and strategic business partners
• Manage product growth plans and revenue targets and support Corporate, Commercial and SME Banking teams in achieving Supply Chain business targets

Senior Manager, Trade Operations, Group Transaction Banking

The candidate is responsible for the overall management, profitability, innovation and governance of the Bank's Supply Chain Finance (SCF) product portfolio. The incumbent develops product strategies, drives product commercialization, manages product lifecycle, ensures regulatory compliance, leads product digitalisation initiatives and works closely with Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, SME Banking, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance and external ecosystem partners to position BIMB as a leading Islamic Supply Chain Finance bank.

About you

Serve as the Supply Chain subject matter expert across the Bank

Work closely with Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, SME Banking, Treasury, Trade Operations, Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, Shariah Department, Finance and Technology teams

Engage with regulators, industry associations, anchor corporates, fintechs, technology providers and strategic ecosystem partners

Ensure all Supply Chain products remain fully compliant with Bank Negara Malaysia policy documents, Islamic Financial Services Act, Financial Services Act, Basel Framework, AML/CFT/CPF requirements, Sanctions compliance, Shariah governance framework and applicable Malaysian legislation

Work closely with Shariah, Risk and Compliance teams in product structuring, approval and ongoing governance

Monitor Financing Income, Non financing Income, Supply Chain Asset Growth, Portfolio Utilisation, Product Profitability, Return on Assets and Return on Risk-Weighted Assets

Monitor Supply Chain developments in Receivables Finance, Vendor Finance, Digital Lending, E-Invoicing, Open Banking, Islamic Banking, ESG and Sustainable Finance and Cross-Border Supply Chain Solutions

Benchmark the bank Supply Chain offerings against local and regional competitors

Identify strategic partnerships that strengthen the Bank's supply chain ecosystem and digital financing capabilities
