Job summary

Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad is seeking a Manager of Strategy & Planning for Retail Credit Operations in Kuala Lumpur. The role focuses on strategy implementation, performance monitoring, portfolio analytics and transformation initiatives within Credit Operations.

You will assist in annual business planning, monitor strategic initiatives, prepare management reporting and analyze portfolio performance across asset quality and delinquency; driving process improvements and dashboards for leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Banking, Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics or related discipline.
• Experience in Credit Operations, portfolio analytics, planning, reporting or process improvement is preferred.
• Ability to translate data into clear management insights.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of credit operations and asset-quality indicators.
• Excellent data management and reporting capability.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing Credit Operations' annual business plan, budget and strategic initiatives.
• Monitor progress of strategic initiatives and follow up on actions.
• Compile information and prepare updates for management reporting.
• Analyse portfolio performance focusing on asset quality, delinquency, impairment, write-offs and recoveries.
• Perform portfolio profiling by product, customer segment, account vintage and delinquency status.
• Identify portfolio trends, emerging risks and key drivers of improvement or deterioration.
• Monitor operational performance across credit processing, administration, collections, recovery and shared services.
• Analyse turnaround time, productivity, service levels, error rates, rework and capacity.
• Support initiatives to simplify, standardise, automate and improve Credit Operations processes.
• Prepare dashboards, presentation materials, management papers and committee updates.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in Credit Operations, portfolio analytics, business planning, performance reporting or process improvement.
