Job summary

Maybank is seeking a driven professional in Kuala Lumpur to lead business planning and client acquisition for SS products. You will identify local and international opportunities, manage onboarding with KYC/CDD in line with compliance, and nurture ongoing client relationships across internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires strong consultative selling skills, English proficiency, and solid MS Office capabilities, with preference for industry experience.

Qualifications

• Relevant Degree - level qualification or equivalent from recognized University.
• Significant experience in the industry preferably in business development, operations, audit, compliance, etc.
• Consultative selling is essential with good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Sales and marketing capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in English.
• Preferable to have industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the business planning and strategy for the SS products.
• Source for potential clients of both local and foreign institutions from various segments.
• Complete the sales process – onboarding including KYC, CDD and related onboarding per Compliance and Risk policies.
• Manage existing accounts – respond to RFIs, RFPs, and client enquiries; maintain client relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate client information requests and due diligence in a timely manner.
• Keep abreast of market development, changes, and opportunities with regulators, clients, and market participants.
• Provide market news, corporate developments, and regulatory updates to clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive solutions for clients.
• Understand client data, market data, finance, and performance for effective planning and review.
• Maintain knowledge of clients’ products and system interfaces and common issues with resolution processes.
• Increase visibility and service standards through surveys, conferences, and training for clients.
