Job summary

Liberty General Insurance Berhad is seeking an experienced underwriting professional to be the central point for referrals and decisions within authority. The role focuses on supporting Non-Motor profitability while balancing portfolio mix for long-term returns.

The successful candidate will review processes across pricing and underwriting, drive knowledge transfer, and participate in new underwriting projects to streamline operations across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Admin, Finance or equivalent.
• 7–8 years of experience in underwriting or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Non-Motor product class.

Responsibilities

• Be central point for referrals and decision making within authority.
• Support Non-Motor portfolio profitability to achieve targets.
• Balance portfolio mix to optimize long-term performance.
• Review processes for effective delivery of products, pricing and underwriting.
• Ensure knowledge transfers and sharing.
• Develop new processes across Underwriting and the organization.
• Work with portfolio team and stakeholders to simplify process flow.
• Participate in underwriting projects.
