Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (UMP) in Penang is expanding its planning team and seeks a Planner / Senior Planner. The role focuses on material planning for complex projects, coordinating with Buyer, Operations, Programme and Warehouse to ensure on-time delivery.

Candidates should have a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Industrial Systems Engineering and 2+ years in planning, preferably in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Diploma required with 2+ years in planning in manufacturing.
• Experience in material planning, scheduling and procurement support.
• Ability to generate and interpret planning reports.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule materials availability to drive production to meet delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with Buyer, Operations, Programme and Warehouse for on-time delivery.
• Maintain data integrity in planning systems and update parts records.
• Identify bottlenecks and coordinate contingencies and supplier actions.
• Prepare management reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.

UCT is looking for a talented Planner / Senior Planner to join us in Malaysia!

The Planner / Senior Planner drives production efficiency by managing material planning for complex projects involving 500–1000 items. This role ensures timely material availability, coordinates cross-functional teams, and maintains data accuracy in planning systems. Responsibilities include identifying bottlenecks, executing purchase plans, supporting quality resolution, and generating reports to support decision-making and customer commitments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Parts maintenance checking before project kick in

Plan & schedule materials availability to drive production to meet customers delivery commits

Co-ordinate with other departments includingBuyer, Operations, Programme and Warehousefor on-time delivery

Systems data maintenance and integrity, key in purchase parts and fabrication parts correctly.

Identify the possible production bottlenecks and have contingencies plans

Work with existing vendor on the completion of the new revision material or temporary change order.

To renew, monitor and translate forecast into material plan and pull in & out with suppliers accordingly.

Execute materials planning and purchase for production fulfillment

Review report daily with purchasing dept.

To coordinate withquality engineers of any non-conforming materials.

Ensure on-time delivery of materials from suppliers

Attend production meetings and any others for communication and update purpose

Generate management report and other activities as assigned by Superior

Educational/Certification Requirement:

Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics /Mechatronics/Industrial Systems Engineering

Experience Requirement:

At least 2 years of working experience for Planner

At least 5 years of working experience for Senior Planner

Preferably in manufacturing environment

No fear of paper works and system update
