Funding Societies | Modalku is seeking a highly motivated Manager / Senior Manager of Consumer Lending Products to lead the development, scaling, and lifecycle management of our HP and consumer lending solutions.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in hire purchase, credit risk management, and data-driven product decisions in a fintech context, with leadership to mentor teams and collaborate across engineering, operations, marketing, and legal.

Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in consumer lending, product management, or credit risk.
• Deep, demonstrable experience with Hire Purchase (HP) products and understanding dealer subvention, disbursement governance, and customer repayment lifecycles.
• Strong analytical skills to translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into clear product roadmaps.
• Experience in fintech/startup environments with ambiguity and rapid iteration.
• Familiarity with modern lending tech stacks and automated underwriting models.
• Leadership to mentor junior team members and influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop risk policies and refine underwriting models to optimize approvals.
• Define product strategy and lifecycle for consumer lending with focus on portfolio scaling.
• Monitor market trends, pricing strategies, and product gaps in lending.
• Ensure compliance with regulations including HP Act and internal governance standards.
• Streamline origination, underwriting, disbursement, and settlement workflows with dealers and end-customers.
• Lead cross-functional teams with engineering, operations, marketing, and legal for new features and system enhancements.
