Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of cold chain integrity, hygiene, traceability and audit readiness.
• Ability to integrate warehouse and fleet operations and improve service levels while controlling costs.

Responsibilities

• Develop KPIs (OTIF, dock-to-stock, temperature excursion rate, cost per delivery) and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage supervisors, warehouse personnel, drivers and transport partners, ensuring food safety and regulatory compliance.

Job description

We seek a results-driven Senior Manager to lead end-to-end cold chain warehousing and distribution trucking operations. The successful candidate will integrate warehouse execution, fleet dispatch and customer service to deliver safe, compliant, on-time operations with excellent turnaround time, optimal resource utilisation and measurable productivity improvements.

Key responsibilities

Lead daily operations across chilled, frozen and ambient storage, inventory control, order fulfilment, loading, transportation and last-mile delivery.

Synchronise inbound/outbound warehouse workflows, dock scheduling, route planning and truck dispatch to minimise dwell time, turnaround time, empty runs and handling costs.

Ensure strict product-specific temperature control across receiving, storage, picking, staging, loading, transit and delivery; monitor alarms, excursions, corrective actions and traceability.

Own food safety, hygiene and regulatory compliance, including relevant Malaysian requirements and applicable customer/industry standards (e.g., Food Act 1983, Food Hygiene Regulations 2009, HACCP, GMP, MeSTI, halal handling and ISO 22000 where applicable).

Drive operational performance using WMS/TMS, telematics, temperature monitoring, dashboards and data analytics; translate insights into staffing, capacity, routing and productivity decisions.

Establish and manage KPIs including OTIF, truck turnaround, dock-to-stock, order accuracy, temperature excursion rate, spoilage, fleet utilisation, cost per delivery and labour productivity.

Lead continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, SOP standardisation, preventive maintenance coordination, safety programmes and contingency planning for refrigeration or vehicle breakdowns.

Manage supervisors, warehouse personnel, drivers and transport partners; develop capability, accountability, cost discipline and a strong food safety culture.

Oversee budgets, resource allocation, customer service levels, audits, incident reporting and improvement plans; collaborate with commercial and customer teams on service commitments.

About you

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Food Technology or a related field; relevant professional certifications are advantageous.

At least 8-10 years of relevant logistics experience, including substantial leadership exposure in F&B cold chain warehousing and refrigerated transport.

Strong working knowledge of cold chain integrity, food safety systems, product segregation, hygiene, traceability, audit readiness and applicable certifications.

Proven ability to integrate warehouse and fleet operations, manage multi-functional teams and improve service levels while controlling manpower, fleet and operating costs.

Highly analytical, commercially aware and proficient with Excel/Power BI and WMS/TMS reporting; able to turn operational data into practical action.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable in a fast-paced, time-sensitive 3PL environment.
