Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Penang seeks a Senior Maintenance & Operations Manager to lead mechanical and electrical operations across facilities, coordinating maintenance and ensuring reliability and safety.

This role sits within Engineering and Technical Services, with responsibilities including budgeting, performance monitoring, and direct client liaison to deliver efficient, compliant, and cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• Membership of an engineering professional body (CIBSE/IEE) preferred.
• Well versed in CAPEX/OPEX budgeting and optimization.
• Experience in staffing, training, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Ability to convey sensitive information and guide decision-making.
• Leadership skills to motivate teams and improve quality and efficiency.
• Excellent client relationship skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees and conduct evaluations.
• Coordinate and manage daily activities; set schedules and deadlines.
• Assist team with operations and maintenance issues.
• Direct contractors and engineers on maintenance tasks.
• Supervise facility controls and asset management systems.
• Support budget preparation and cost management.
• Schedule maintenance activities respecting client requirements.
• Contribute to KPI analysis and continuous improvement.
