Job summary

Xiamen University Malaysia is seeking an experienced Inspector of Works for the Construction Office to supervise mechanical and electrical works on site, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and contract provisions.

You will inspect and test materials, maintain site records, and sign off on forms as required by authorities, while assisting the Resident Engineer and coordinating with clients and consultants.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Registered inspector of works with the Board of Engineers.
• Minimum 8 years of construction supervision experience in M&E works.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and supervise the works per drawings and specs.
• Ensure the required standard of quality and accuracy of works.
• Test and examine materials in accordance with specifications and contract provisions.
• Prepare and maintain site records and reports.
• Verify works and sign Form G as required by authorities.
• Assist the Resident Engineer on other duties and site administration tasks.
• Carny out other site administration works as instructed by client and consultants.
