Job summary

Xiamen University Malaysia is seeking an experienced Inspection of Works professional for the Construction Office to oversee architectural, civil and structural works, ensure compliance with drawings and specifications, and support the Resident Engineer on site.

The role requires a Diploma or Certificate in Civil/Structural or Architectural, registration as Inspector Of Works, and minimum 8 years of supervision experience, with high-rise and bored piling experience a plus.

Qualifications

• A Diploma or Certificate in Civil & Structural or Architectural.
• Registered as Inspector Of Works with the Board Of Engineers or Board Of Architects.
• Minimum 8 years of working experience in construction supervision of civil & structural and architectural works.
• Experience in high-rise building and bored piling works is the added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and supervise the works in accordance to drawings and specifications, as assigned by the Resident Engineer.
• Ensure the required standard of quality and accuracy of works are achieved.
• Test and examine the materials used in accordance to specifications and contract provisions
• Prepare and maintain site records and reports.
• Verify works and sign Form G. in accordance to the approved drawings by the authorities.
• Assist the Resident Engineer on any other duties of the job as required in the site management.
• Carry out other site administration works as instructed by client and consultants.
