Job summary

Commerz Global Service Solutions in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a senior Linux infrastructure engineer to design, deploy, and operate scalable Linux environments across on‑premises, virtual, and cloud platforms.

You will implement HA, performance tuning, automation with Ansible and Python, CI/CD pipelines, security hardening, and incident response, while collaborating with global stakeholders and supporting out‑of‑hours coverage.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent professional experience in IT.
• Minimum 5 years of IT operations experience with responsibility for systems and processes.
• Experience designing and modifying CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, Jenkins, etc.).
• Strong Linux knowledge including disk management, processes, packages and networking.
• Ability to code and understand Ansible YAML/JINJA templates.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and VMware APIs is a plus.
• Familiarity with security, IAM, and SSH key management.

Responsibilities

• Design, installation and configuration of Linux servers across physical, virtual and cloud environments.
• Operate and maintain complex RHEL environments; perform incident analysis and root cause analysis.
• Develop automation scripts and tools; build standardized deployment and release processes.
• Implement hardening guidelines and security best practices; manage patches and vulnerabilities.
• Create CI/CD pipelines and integrate with version control; automate routine tasks with Ansible.
• Provide 2nd/3rd level support; collaborate with security teams and international stakeholders.
