Job summary

Genting Malaysia, a leading hospitality and entertainment group, is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to manage Linux servers (RHEL/Alibaba/SUSE), perform patches, monitor performance, and enforce security postures. The role also covers Windows Server administration and basic VMware tasks in a production environment.

The candidate will join a diverse IT team supporting critical systems and infrastructure across the group's data centres and facilities in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of Linux system administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Alibaba Linux, ubuntu or SUSE Linux servers.
• Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of Linux operating systems.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, availability, and security.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, storage, file systems, and network configurations.
• Implement and maintain system hardening and security best practices.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve system incidents in a timely manner.
• Handling Critical Vulnerabilities.
• Handling Audit / SOP Documents.
• Provide basic administration and operational support for Windows Server environments.
