Job summary

Resorts World Genting is seeking a Linux system administrator to manage and secure server infrastructure across Linux and Windows environments in Kuala Lumpur. You will handle installation, patching, monitoring, and incident response.

The role includes SAP Basis awareness, VMware and Alibaba Cloud tasks, plus system hardening and SOP-driven operations in a production setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of Linux system administration experience.
• Experience supporting on Linux or Microsoft Windows environments.
• Experience working in production and mission-critical environments.
• Nice-to-have SAP Basis operational knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers (RHEL, Alibaba Linux, Ubuntu, SUSE).
• Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of Linux OS.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, availability, and security.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, storage, file systems, and network configurations.
• Implement and maintain system hardening and security best practices.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve system incidents in a timely manner.
• Handle critical vulnerabilities.
• Handle Audit / SOP documents.
• Provide basic administration and operational support for Windows Server environments.
