Job summary

Two Offshore Marine Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur seeks a qualified in-house corporate lawyer to draft, review and negotiate contracts, especially maritime agreements. You will conduct legal research, advise on risks, and assist with corporate secretarial duties while coordinating with external counsel and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B) required.
• 3-5 years of in-house corporate legal or practice experience.
• Experience in the oil & gas industry is an added advantage.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and research skills.
• Familiarity with corporate secretarial practices and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal relationship, highly organized and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts (maritime related agreements).

• Assist with corporate secretarial duties, board documentation preparation, statutory records maintenance, and regulatory filings.
• Liaise with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders while managing confidential legal documentation.
• Monitor changes in corporate governance and maritime laws to ensure organizational compliance and risk mitigation.
• Assist Legal Assistant Manager in the effective management of legal advisory services, contractual risks and corporate compliance initiative across TOM Group and its subsidiaries.
• Perform any other legal & secretarial duties assigned by the superior and/or Management from time to time.
