Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Java/ Spring Boot engineer to design, develop and maintain robust microservices, ensuring performance, security and resilience. You will containerize services for OpenShift/Kubernetes, write Dockerfiles, integrate CI/CD with Jenkins, and work with relational and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities include reviews, security scans, on-call incident handling, and building architectural docs and runbooks for internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional Java/Spring Boot enterprise app development.
• Strong microservices and API design.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift for deployment.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proficient with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD.
• Hands-on with AWS, Linux, and shell scripting.
• Agile mindset with Scrum experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java, Spring Boot.
• Implement RESTful APIs and ensure performance, security, and stability.
• Containerization and deployment on OpenShift/Kubernetes with Dockerfiles.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) for automated build, test, deploy.
• Monitor and troubleshoot services in the OpenShift environment.
• Contribute to architectural design of microservices and data persistence (SQL/NoSQL).
• Integrate services using messaging systems where required.
• Perform code reviews and ensure security standards; run vulnerability scans.
• On-call rotation and root cause analysis with minimal supervision.
• Create and maintain technical docs and runbooks.
