Job Purpose
- Lead DHL Group's strategy, development, adoption, and evolution of shared customer data and interoperability capabilities. The scope spans Group customer identification, customer and account information, legal-entity and hierarchy models, matching and mapping, data quality, stewardship, source integration, and controlled publication of customer information.
- The role owns the product vision, multi-year roadmap, governance, prioritization, and value realization for the Group Customer Data & Interoperability product domain. Its purpose is to create a consistent and reusable customer view across divisions and to enable identity, onboarding, customer-experience, analytics, and divisional products with reliable customer information, while strengthening data quality, customer experience, compliance, information security, operational efficiency, and cross-divisional adoption, without assuming ownership of those consuming products.
- Success requires strategic direction combined with execution focus: establishing clear boundaries between central and divisional data responsibilities, creating alignment across systems of record and consuming products, balancing customer, business, operational, data, and technical considerations, and leading through expertise, constructive challenge, and accountability. The role additionally defines and evolves the operating model, governance framework, organizational interfaces, and contribution model required for the long-term development and sustainable operation of the Group Customer Data & Interoperability pillar.
Your tasks
Product Strategy & Vision
- Own and continuously evolve the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for Group Customer Data & Interoperability. Provide input to the IT Product Management strategy and lead its implementation within the product scope. Prioritize data products and features, identify dependencies and interfaces, and maintain a clear focus on business outcomes and reuse.
- Define strategic priorities for the Group customer identifier, customer and account information, legal-entity and hierarchy models, matching and mapping, data quality, stewardship, source integration, and controlled publication, aligned with DHL Group business objectives, customer and consuming-product needs, regulatory requirements, data-management developments, and emerging technology trends.
- Identify future capability requirements and drive product evolution beyond current application boundaries, including agreed extensions into selected financial, risk, reporting, or related customer-information domains.
Stakeholder Leadership & Alignment
- Lead cross-divisional stakeholder engagement with business representatives, source-system owners, consuming products, data-management teams, engineering, architecture, security, privacy, legal, finance, and other functions to establish alignment on priorities, investment, adoption, data responsibilities, and strategic direction, supported by clear decision documents.
- Facilitate decisions across complex stakeholder networks where interests, priorities, source authority, quality expectations, contribution models, and funding responsibilities may differ, and influence customers, vendors, external partners, and engineering-team priorities.
- Act as trusted advisor to senior stakeholders regarding Group customer-data strategy, customer identification, master-data management, customer hierarchies, matching, data quality, governance, stewardship, interoperability, and controlled data publication.
- Act as the senior coordination point for the Customer Data & Interoperability pillar and represent the pillar in cross-divisional governance, investment, architecture, compliance, and strategic planning forums. Drive alignment across DHL divisions and functions regarding customer-data priorities, adoption, operating-model evolution, and long-term capability development.
Product Governance & Prioritization
- Own product and backlog prioritization and maintain transparent governance processes balancing business value, customer and user experience, consuming-product needs, data quality, ownership, lineage, privacy, information security, risk, compliance obligations, interoperability, operational requirements, and technical sustainability.
- Establish and maintain product governance, data-governance interfaces, decision forums, roadmap reviews, product standards, and critical implementation documentation so that agreed models, rules, interfaces, and processes are applied consistently.
Delivery Leadership
- Provide end-to-end product leadership and direction to the multidisciplinary Customer Data & Interoperability team through backlog ownership, requirements management, prioritization, and acceptance of delivered outcomes. Establish clear scope, timelines, dependencies, interfaces, and escalation paths.
