Job description

We are seeking a proactive, motivated and service-oriented Senior IT Executive to support IT service delivery across XCL Education Malaysia. Based at our Bangsar South headquarters and reporting directly to the Head of IT Service Delivery, the successful candidate will coordinate day-to-day IT operations, assist School IT Leads and help implement group technology initiatives. This hands-on, collaborative role offers opportunities to learn new systems, work with different campuses and contribute to continuous improvement. The appointment level will reflect the candidate’s experience and ability to take ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Service Delivery & Operational Coordination

Support the Head of IT Service Delivery in coordinating daily IT operations and service delivery across HQ and Malaysia schools.

Monitor service desk tickets, priorities, SLAs and recurring issues; coordinate follow-ups and escalations with School IT Leads, group technology teams and vendors.

Provide technical support for Windows and macOS devices, Microsoft 365, user accounts, Aruba & Meraki WiFi connectivity, printing, CCTV, IP telephony, cashless systems and other school technologies.

Support troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, security patching, software deployment, user onboarding/offboarding and implementation of IT policies and standards.

Maintain IT inventories, conduct equipment audits and support hardware lifecycle, software licensing, procurement and asset management activities.

Provide cross-campus support and temporary operational coverage for School IT Leads when required.

Escalate complex infrastructure, cybersecurity and system issues to the appropriate specialist or group technology team.

Business Systems, Digital Adoption & AI

Support the implementation, integration and continuous improvement of key business systems, including Student Management Systems, HR, Finance, ERP and other enterprise platforms.

Coordinate system implementation activities including requirements, testing, deployment, integration, issue resolution and progress tracking with internal teams and vendors.

Explore and support the adoption of Microsoft Copilot, AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity, efficiency and user experience across the organisation.

Conduct user training and provide ongoing support to drive effective adoption of Microsoft 365, business applications and other digital platforms.

Develop and maintain user guides, SOPs and system documentation to support consistent processes and knowledge sharing.

Monitor implementation and adoption progress, identify improvement opportunities and provide regular updates to management.

Liaise with vendors, suppliers and contractors on quotations, repairs, maintenance, implementations and service delivery.

Coordinate assigned technology projects, upgrades, system deployments and standardization initiatives across schools.
