Job summary

Eu Yan Sang (Malaysia) group of companies is seeking a Senior IT Executive to manage and optimize the company’s IT infrastructure across HQ and subsidiaries. You will ensure high availability, security, and performance of systems, while supporting operations and scalability.

Responsibilities include overseeing servers, networks, cloud environments, incident resolution, security controls, DR/BCP, audits, and project delivery. Strong communication and proactive problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems/network administration or IT operations, with strong hands-on knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, cloud, storage, backup/DR, LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, IT security, L2/L3 troubleshooting, and experience managing infrastructure projects, vendors, SLAs, and multiple locations.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments across HQ and subsidiaries.
• Ensure system uptime, reliability, and performance through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• Manage infrastructure capacity planning, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Maintain documentation of infrastructure architecture, configurations, and SOPs.
• Manage LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and network security across all locations.
• Ensure stable connectivity between HQ, outlets, and subsidiaries.
• Coordinate with telecom providers and vendors for network performance and issue resolution.
• Monitor network performance and implement improvements where necessary.
• Implement and enforce IT security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Manage endpoint security, firewall configurations, and access controls.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, patch management, and risk mitigation.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
• Administer Windows servers, Active Directory, email systems, and enterprise applications.
• Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions across systems.
• Oversee backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity planning (BCP).
• Ensure data integrity and system resilience across all business units.
• Liaise with external vendors, system integrators, and service providers for infrastructure-related services.
• Manage SLAs and ensure timely delivery of support and projects.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align infrastructure with business needs.
• Lead or support infrastructure-related projects such as system upgrades, rollouts, and new implementations.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with IT standards.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for infrastructure-related incidents and issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Support IT service desk in resolving escalated technical issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reduce costs, and enhance security.
• Drive automation and standardization of infrastructure processes.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.

This role ensures high availability, security, and performance of all infrastructure components, while supporting business operations, scalability, and compliance requirements.

Job Descriptions

1. Infrastructure Management & Operations

• Oversee daily operations of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments across HQ and subsidiaries.
