The Senior IT Executive is responsible for providing reliable, secure and efficient IT services for HORIBA Southeast Asia operations. The role covers end-user support, application support, infrastructure administration, network and security operations, backup and recovery, IT asset and service management, vendor coordination, documentation, audit support, and regional/local IT project delivery. In addition, the role is expected to enable business improvement through digitalization, workflow automation, data reporting and practical technology solutions using approved company platforms. Reporting to the Regional IT Manager, the Senior IT Executive must be able to work independently, take ownership of assigned services and incidents, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, support users across countries, and maintain a service-minded, security-conscious and continuous improvement approach.
Key responsibilities
- Provide Level 1-2 support for end users, business applications, computers, mobile devices, printers, collaboration tools and common IT services across HORIBA Southeast Asia locations
- Own incidents and service requests from logging through resolution, including troubleshooting, prioritization, escalation, follow-up and clear communication with users and stakeholders
- Support onboarding, offboarding, access requests, account administration and user guidance in line with company policies and approval requirements
- Administer, monitor and maintain on-premises and cloud infrastructure including physical/virtual servers, storage, Microsoft 365, Entra ID / Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS, file/print services and system monitoring tools
- Support server, endpoint, cloud and collaboration platforms to ensure stable performance, availability, backup readiness and proper configuration
- Maintain and support LAN/WAN, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPN, internet links, endpoint protection, access controls and related security services
- Manage IT assets and services covering procurement, configuration, deployment, inventory, software licenses, warranties, contracts, renewals, service records and lifecycle replacement planning
- Partner with business teams to understand processes, gather requirements and identify practical digitalization, workflow automation, reporting and system-improvement opportunities
- Support local, regional and global IT projects covering scope clarification, schedule tracking, risk follow-up, security review, testing, UAT, documentation, training, handover and post-deployment support
- Prepare IT reports, service updates, cost information, audit support materials, risk summaries and management updates as required
About you
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
- Professional certifications strongly preferred, such as Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, ITIL, CompTIA, cybersecurity, firewall, cloud, backup, infrastructure, PDPA/privacy or equivalent certifications
- Preferably 8 years of progressive hands-on IT experience (minimum 5 years) in infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, end-user/application support and IT service delivery, including experience in a multi-country, regional, manufacturing or multinational environment
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID / Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux Server, VMware, DNS, DHCP, NPS, storage, endpoint management, network switching, VLAN, firewall, VPN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, backup, disaster recovery, monitoring tools, endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation and ITSM/ticketing systems
- Good practical knowledge of Sophos security solutions, ManageEngine administration or monitoring tools, FortiGate firewalls, Cisco switching/networking, PowerShell or scripting, and infrastructure troubleshooting
- Experience with business digitalization and automation tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, AgilePoint, Excel, SQL, APIs, scripts or approved RPA tools
- Good understanding of IT security management, access control, audit support, ISO-based management standards, PDPA/privacy compliance and proper handling of confidential information
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to non-technical users and coordinate effectively with stakeholders across countries
- Able to work independently under pressure, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, recover quickly from setbacks and maintain quality/security standards in a fast-paced environment
- Good command of spoken and written English
