Job summary

Akzo Nobel Paints (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia (Selangor) seeks a Senior IT Auditor to lead, coordinate and execute internal audits. You will advise management on risks and improvements to internal controls within an international audit team.

You will perform IT and business process audits, focusing on SAP configuration controls, access rights, and data analytics to gain process insights. The lead auditor role involves guiding audits and developing team capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in related fields such as business administration or information technology
• Minimum 4 years of audit experience in public accounting or large internal audit function
• Knowledge of GAAS and risk-based auditing
• Fluent in English; other languages advantageous
• Willing to travel up to 40% (AMS: Worldwide, KL: APAC & EMEA)

Responsibilities

• Lead internal audits and coordinate the audit team
• Advise management on risks and improvements to internal controls
• Perform IT and business process audits (SAP, data analytics, access controls)
• Test controls, document observations, and present conclusions
• Prepare audit reports and follow up on management responses
• Stay current on audit knowledge and collaborate within the function
