Job summary

Vebuild Design Sdn Bhd is expanding and seeks a Senior Interior Designer to lead end-to-end interior design projects from concept to completion. You will translate client vision into compelling design proposals, manage schedules, and ensure quality across residential, commercial and office Design & Build projects.

The role requires 5+ years in interior design or design & build, with strong skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp and rendering tools. Mandarin is a bonus for client and supplier communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design/Interior Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of interior design or design & build experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, SketchUp and rendering software.
• Strong presentation, communication and client management skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
• Mandarin speaking is an added advantage for communicating with clients and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design projects from concept through construction and completion.
• Translate client vision and budget into compelling design proposals.
• Develop space plans, mood boards, materials, color schemes and 3D visuals.
• Produce 2D drawings, 3D visualisations and construction documents.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to hit timelines and budget.
• Manage project schedules, revisions, meetings, and client communications.
• Conduct site visits to ensure workmanship and design compliance.
• Mentor junior designers and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Deliver residential, commercial and office Design & Build projects.

Senior Interior Designer (Design & Build)

Vebuild Design Sdn Bhd is expanding, and we are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Interior Designer who is ready to lead projects from concept to completion. This role offers the opportunity to lead end-to-end design projects, win and develop client opportunities, create inspiring design presentations, and drive project execution while managing timelines and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design projects from initial concept and space planning through design development, construction and final completion
• Understand clients' vision, lifestyle, business needs and budget while presenting professional design and Design & Build solutions
• Develop space planning layouts, mood boards, material selections, colour schemes, 3D visualisations and presentation proposals
• Prepare accurate 2D drawings, 3D visualisations, detailed construction drawings, and design documentation using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and relevant rendering software
• Coordinate closely with sub-contractors, suppliers, consultants and internal teams to ensure quality, timeline and budget targets are achieved
• Oversee project schedules, design revisions, coordination meetings and client communications to keep projects on track and within scope
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure workmanship, materials, and finishes meet design specifications and quality standards
• Take ownership of project timelines, costs, client expectations and overall project performance
• Provide design guidance, technical support, and constructive feedback to junior designers while promoting a collaborative and creative team environment

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field
• Minimum 5 years experience in interior design or design & build industry
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion / Enscape / V-Ray / 3Ds Max (or equivalent rendering software)
• Strong understanding of construction detailing, materials and site coordination
• Excellent presentation, communication and client management skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Mandarin speaking is an added advantage for communicating with clients and suppliers
