Vencos Sdn Bhd is seeking an Interior Designer to join their team in Malaysia. The role involves delivering residential and commercial interior projects from concept through site coordination, combining design, documentation, and execution.

Responsibilities include developing concepts, producing drawings and 3D visuals, selecting materials, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring regulatory compliance while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design or related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant interior design experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3ds Max, Illustrator.
• Strong ability to produce layout plans, construction drawings and 3D perspectives.
• Portfolio of previous design work.
• Good communication and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin preferred for some clients.

Our client "Vencos Sdn Bhd" is seeking an Interior Designer to join their team! This opportunity offers a salary of RM3,000-RM7,000 and the chance to deliver creative residential and commercial interior projects from concept development through site coordination. The role combines design, client engagement, documentation and project execution.

What you'll be doing?

• Develop design concepts: Create design concepts, mood boards and space-planning layouts that respond to client needs.
• Prepare design deliverables: Produce 2D drawings, construction and detail drawings, 3D visualisations, material boards and presentations.
• Select design elements: Recommend materials, finishes, furniture, lighting and décor that support each project’s design direction.
• Manage client requirements: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and propose suitable design solutions.
• Coordinate project teams: Liaise with contractors, suppliers and project teams to support smooth project delivery.
• Conduct site visits: Review site progress and help ensure completed work reflects the approved design.
• Maintain compliance: Ensure designs and project execution align with building codes, regulations and safety standards.
• Manage project timelines: Coordinate multiple projects, prioritise deliverables and meet agreed deadlines.
• Research materials: Stay informed about local suppliers, material markets, construction methods and sustainable design options.

Who are they looking for?

• Relevant qualification: A Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
• Relevant experience: At least 1 year of relevant interior design experience is required, with 3 or more years preferred.
• Design software skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3ds Max, Illustrator and Microsoft Office.
• Technical drawing ability: Strong ability to produce layout plans, construction drawings, detail drawings and 3D perspectives.
• Portfolio: A portfolio of previous design work is required.
• Design capability: Strong design sense, creativity and attention to detail.
• Project management: Good communication and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Language proficiency: Bahasa Malaysia and English are required for effective communication with clients, contractors and project teams. Mandarin is preferred for communicating with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Industry knowledge: Familiarity with local suppliers, material markets, finishes, furniture specifications, construction methods and site coordination is advantageous.
• Sustainable design: Knowledge of sustainable or eco-friendly design solutions is beneficial.
• Transport: Own transport is an advantage for attending site visits and coordinating project activities.
