Job summary

MSD in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Intercompany Senior Analyst to support intercompany accounting and reconciliation across multiple legal entities. You will ensure timely processing of intercompany transactions and assist with month-end close.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to develop expertise in intercompany operations within a global finance environment. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience are required, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end intercompany accounting processes.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile intercompany balances on a monthly basis.
• Investigate and resolve intercompany variances, discrepancies, and aging items.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and finance teams across entities to ensure transaction accuracy.
• Assist with documentation for audits and internal controls.
• Help improve intercompany processes through data analysis and process review.
• Prepare reports and summaries related to intercompany activity as needed.
• Ensure timely intercompany settlements and support cash/netting processes
• Support intercompany elimination entries and consolidation reporting
• Monitor compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and SOX requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve intercompany processes, automation, and controls
