Job summary

MSD in Malaysia seeks an Associate Specialist in Accounting to Reporting (ATR) to ensure accurate accounting records for APAC markets and to support month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting in line with US GAAP and local requirements. The role collaborates with local finance, global teams, and external auditors to uphold internal controls.

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting in a multinational company (ex-US a plus).
Business-level English skills (spoken and written) required.
Experience with Balance Sheet reconciliations and US GAAP a plus.
Experience working with global cultures is preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Provide general ledger support and period-end close responsibilities for assigned markets.
Maintain accurate accounting ledgers reflecting country transactions.
Ensure transactions are reflected correctly on the country ledger and in timely period reporting.
Execute monthly reconciliations in line with corporate standards.
Collaborate with Virtual Finance Teams and local finance to support global projects.
