Job summary

Macain Energy Services SDN BHD is seeking a Lead Instrumentation Engineer to oversee the instrumentation activities for FPSO and offshore oil and gas projects. The role emphasizes design reviews, FEED, and detailed engineering, with focus on technical integrity within budget and schedule.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years in FPSO or offshore projects, solid leadership, and experience with AVEVA and SPI systems, plus strong communication abilities to coordinate with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering is required.
12+ years experience in lead FPSO or offshore instrumentation projects.
Knowledge of AVEVA and SPI systems is advantageous.
Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the Project Instrumentation engineering team for FPSO/other projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of engineering deliverables.
Lead Conceptual/Basic Engineering design (BED), FEED and Detailed Engineering Studies.
Responsible for technical integrity and progress of assigned Instrumentation Engineering scope and deliverables as per the budget and schedule requirements of the project.
Preparation/ Review of Detailed Instrumentation Specifications & data sheets for Field instrumentation.
Preparation/review of Fire and Gas, Telecom and control system deliverables.
Participate and contribute to various workshops e.g. Design reviews, HAZOP, SIL etc.
