Job summary

ELSA in Malaysia seeks a senior F(P)SO marine engineer to lead hull, mooring and station-keeping activities from pre-bid through handover. You will coordinate design reviews, contractor performance, and documentation to ensure safe, compliant, on-time project delivery.

With 15+ years in FPSO/FPSO projects and a strong background in hull integrity, stability and life-extension works, you will drive technical excellence while engaging with clients and partners across disciplines and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in naval architecture, marine engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years in FSO/FPSO marine engineering including design, fabrication, conversion, installation or life extension.
• Proven experience leading hull design, stability, mooring and marine systems.
• Experience managing contractors, shipyards, cost and schedule for FPSO projects.
• Proficiency in MOSES, STAAD.Pro or SACS.
• Chartered Engineer status or registration with relevant bodies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead F(P)SO hull, marine, station-keeping, and cargo offloading scopes.
• Review hull design, mooring systems, structural integrity and stability.
• Manage engineering deliverables, design assurance, and contractor performance.
• Lead evaluations, tender prep, bid evaluations and contract establishment.
• Oversee conversion, fabrication, offshore installation, commissioning and first oil.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, vendors and stakeholders for delivery.
• Ensure compliance with classification, international standards and HSE policies.
