Job summary

Airswift is recruiting an Instrument Lead Engineer to support a technically complex offshore facilities project. This senior role focuses on field instrumentation, metering systems and subsea hydraulics within floating offshore developments, offering leadership over critical engineering deliverables and cross-disciplinary design integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia as a Graduate Engineer or other recognised body.
• Minimum 15 years in offshore facilities and related projects.
• Experience in floater instrumentation design across study phases.
• Minimum 10 years of EPCC project experience in a discipline-specific role.
• Strong technical knowledge in field instrumentation, metering and hydraulic control systems.
• Experience in design verification, technical bid evaluation, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of field instrumentation, metering and subsea hydraulic system deliverables.
• Develop basis of design, functional specs and equipment specifications for instrumentation and hydraulic systems.
• Drive safe, robust and cost-effective instrumentation solutions for floating offshore facilities.
• Lead design integration across topside, hull, living quarters, mooring and SURF scopes.
• Review bid engineering and detailed designs, identify gaps with subcontractors.
• Coordinate data across disciplines, vendors and regulatory parties to support timely project execution.
