Job summary

Glory HR Solutions in Selangor is assisting a leading multinational in the manufacturing and power generation sector to recruit a Senior Instrument Engineer for their advanced Thermal Power Plant. The role focuses on instrumentation, automation, control and electrical systems.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant bachelor's degree and have at least 3 years of experience with PLC, DCS, HMI and SCADA, plus strong troubleshooting, communication and teamwork skills to operate in a plant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Control Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in industrial instrumentation, process control, power generation, manufacturing or similar plant environment.
• Hands-on experience with PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA and industrial control systems.
• Good knowledge of instrumentation, control systems and industrial automation.
• Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, commissioning and system improvement.
• Experience working in a thermal power plant, power generation plant, paper mill, process plant or continuous production environment an advantage.
• Able to analyse technical problems and provide effective troubleshooting solutions.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Willing to work in a plant environment and support maintenance or troubleshooting activities.

Responsibilities

• Support instrumentation, automation, control and electrical systems at a Thermal Power Plant.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and optimize control systems and instrumentation.
• Assist in commissioning and plant improvement projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and safety.
