Job summary

Goldpar Precision in Kulai, Malaysia is seeking an Injection Molding Technician to manage all aspects of the injection mold processes, including mold changeouts, setups, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of injection molding equipment.

You will drive molding efficiency, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve production KPIs, with shifts from 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Experience in injection moulding with at least 2 years.
• Ability to identify root causes of molding and quality issues.
• Familiar with machine parameter settings, process adjustments and defect analysis.
• Capable of working shifts in a hot environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tooling condition with daily mould cleaning schedule.
• Assist supervisor with daily mould change schedule.
• Machine and process troubleshooting, setup/down mould/shutdown.
• Record daily machine parameters and update fault logs.
• Support process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

The injection molding technician will be responsible for all aspects of the injection mold processes including changing out molds, completing setups, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of injection mold equipment. The role will also support molding efficiency, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve production KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain tooling condition through daily mould cleaning schedule
• Assist supervisor in charge of daily mould change schedule
• Machine and process troubleshooting
• Assist mould setup/down mould/shutdown process
• Assist supervisor to compound daily production report
• Follow instruction from superior and 4M change
• Daily machine parameter record
• Update abnormal faulty record

About you

• Possess at least SPM/Technical Certificate/Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in injection moulding (2 years and above)
• Experienced in machine parameter setting, process adjustment, troubleshooting, and defect analysis
• Good understanding of injection molding processes, molds/tooling, plastic materials, and common molding defects
• Able to identify root causes of molding and quality problems and take effective corrective actions
• Experience in mold/tooling trial and process optimization will be an advantage
• Able to work independently, troubleshoot problems effectively, and respond quickly to production issues
• Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work under hot working environment
• Able to work shift (7:00AM-7:00PM / 7:00PM-7:00AM)
