Job summary

Great Eastern in Kuala Lumpur seeks a senior Java/J2EE and full-stack developer to design, develop, and maintain applications that meet business requirements, and to deliver interface solutions for internal and external systems.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to implement SSO for digital initiatives, perform impact analysis, architecture design, coding, testing, and deployment, plus code reviews and non-functional testing to ensure delivery quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Java/J2EE application development.
• At least 7 years of hands-on experience in full stack development.
• Experience with Node.js, REST/SOAP web services, and microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native development using Kubernetes, VMware TKGI/TAS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with event-driven microservices (Kafka or similar).
• Solid understanding of authentication frameworks (OIDC, OAuth, SAML2).
• Proficient in source control (BitBucket) and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
