Job summary

Luxoft in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a project for a leading bank. You will coordinate infrastructure build and upgrade activities across server and platform teams, providing hands-on support in VMware/Linux/Windows environments and ensuring adherence to IT governance standards.

The role requires 6–9 years in infrastructure engineering, strong project coordination skills, and familiarity with PMP/PRINCE2.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years experience in Infrastructure Engineering / Build Engineering.
• Experience as Infrastructure Project Coordinator.
• Hands-on experience in Server-side infrastructure (preferred) or exposure to Network / Backup / Database infrastructure.
• Good understanding of OS versions, product lifecycle, and infrastructure standards.
• Strong knowledge of IT terminology and current IT industry trends.
• Experience in project tracking, reporting and stakeholder coordination.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (PMP / PRINCE2 exposure preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate infrastructure build and upgrade projects across server and platform teams.
• Perform hands‑on activities in server environments (preferred) or network/backup/database infrastructure.
• Support provisioning, configuration, patching and upgrade activities on VMware and Linux/Windows environments.
• Track project milestones, risks, dependencies and provide regular status reporting.
• Work with cross-functional teams including application, database, network, and security teams.
• Maintain documentation of product versions (current/obsolete), OS lifecycle and infrastructure standards.
• Assist in capacity planning, environment setup and release readiness activities.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise infrastructure standards and IT governance processes.
