Job summary

FLEXTRONICS TECHNOLOGY (PENANG) SDN BHD in Senai Johor is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes and lead efficiency improvements. You will coordinate NPI process planning, apply lean methods, and collaborate with engineering, production, and sales to deliver cost-effective solutions.

The role requires a degree and at least five years of related experience, with strong focus on labor utilization and production planning.

Qualifications

Degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of working experience in the related field.

Responsibilities

Provide process time estimation to the quote team.
Simulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow and gives input to process engineers using REFA, MOST, WITNESS and/or adequate tools.
Coordinate process planning and setup for NPI with respect to takt, cycle time and direct labor requirements.
Review results during prototyping and trial runs and provide feedback to NPI and sales teams.
Examine staff utilization, facility layout, production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules to define efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
Identify methods to improve worker efficiency and reduce waste of materials and utilities.
Confer with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
Develop management systems for cost reviews and financial planning and wage/salary administration.
