Job summary

Molex Malaysia, at Penang, seeks a Senior/Principal Sourcing Engineer for Indirect Procurement to lead end-to-end sourcing across multiple indirect categories. You will partner with Plant Operations, end-user functions, and global category teams to drive procurement excellence and support business growth.

You will manage RFQ/RFP processes, negotiate with suppliers, and monitor KPIs while steering cost-reduction initiatives and ensuring compliance with governance and directives.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in Indirect Sourcing or Procurement
• Experience managing one or more indirect procurement categories such as Machinery, Facilities, MRO, HR, Tool Spares, IT, Packaging
• Experience managing sourcing and procurement activities including supplier engagement, sourcing processes and negotiations

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with Molex Malaysia management, stakeholders and end users to strengthen Procurement Excellence
• Collaborate with Category Management to develop and execute sourcing strategies
• Manage end-to-end Indirect Sourcing processes including RFQ, RFP, bidding, cost benchmarking and supplier negotiations
• Take ownership of procurement performance, KPIs, and deliverables for assigned categories
• Manage contract negotiations and PR/PO activities, supplier invoicing
• Support end-user departments through sourcing activities and PO release
• Ensure suppliers meet deliverables to support Plant Operations and customer requirements
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives and drive annual savings goals
• Collaborate with Global/Regional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure compliance with purchasing procedures and directives
• Apply PBM principles in daily work and decision-making
