Job summary

AEM Microtronics (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced procurement professional to develop indirect spend strategies and lead end-to-end tender processes. You will negotiate terms, manage supplier performance, and drive governance across procurement activities.

The role requires a strong background in strategic sourcing, ERP systems, and stakeholder collaboration to optimize cost, quality, and risk in a manufacturing/tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, procurement, engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Proven experience managing indirect procurement categories within manufacturing or technology.
• Strong commercial negotiation and contract management experience.
• Familiarity with supplier performance management and risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience leading competitive tenders and strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and spend analytics tools.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories.
• Lead RFQ, RFP, and tender processes end-to-end.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, SLAs, and contracts with suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships and conduct performance reviews.
• Drive supplier consolidation and preferred supplier programs.
• Establish and maintain procurement contracts and framework agreements.
• Analyze spending patterns to identify cost reduction and value opportunities.
• Partner with stakeholders to support sourcing requirements and procurement planning.
• Evaluate supplier risk, compliance, and business continuity risks.
