Job summary

Molex is seeking a Senior Facilities Project Engineer in Malaysia (Penang) to lead cross-functional facility projects from planning to handover. You’ll coordinate with Production, EHS, Procurement and Finance, manage budgets, schedules and safety requirements, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

Applicants should have a degree in engineering and at least five years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting, with strong project management and contractor oversight skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Building Services or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in facility or engineering projects within manufacturing or similar environments.
• Experience in project management, site coordination and contractor oversight.
• Ability to interpret drawings, layouts and construction details.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility projects from planning through completion and handover.
• Prepare scope, timeline, cost estimates and project trackers.
• Coordinate with internal users, contractors, vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Monitor progress, site constraints, safety, cost and quality.
• Ensure delivery within scope, schedule and budget.
• Prepare updates and handover documentation.
• Review proposals, drawings and method statements.
• Coordinate technical clarifications among stakeholders.
