Job summary

jci is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (HVAC) to lead engineering, site execution, testing, and handover for large-scale data center projects. You will coordinate design development, ensure compliance with specs and standards, and resolve technical issues across chilled water systems, CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs, and ductwork.

You will manage day-to-day site activities, coordinate with multiple trades, monitor progress, and support QA/QC and HSE requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC project engineering.
Experience delivering large-scale commercial, industrial, or data center projects is preferred.
Hands-on experience in HVAC installation, coordination, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

Coordinate HVAC design development, shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements.
Review project specs, drawings, codes, and standards for compliance.
Resolve issues related to chilled water systems, CRAH/CRAC, AHUs, and ventilation.
Manage day-to-day HVAC site activities per drawings and schedules.
Coordinate with main contractor, MEP trades, CSA teams, vendors and subcontractors.
Monitor progress and align with project program.
Support site supervision for installation quality and workmanship.
Coordinate pre-commissioning, testing, and commissioning activities.
Work with commissioning agents, vendors, and client reps.
Prepare as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover docs.
Support final inspections, snag clearance, and client acceptance.
