Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer (HVAC) in Malaysia to manage engineering, site execution, testing, commissioning, and handover for large-scale data center projects. You will support the Project Manager to ensure safe, timely, and compliant delivery from design through installation and handover.

The role requires 2+ years of HVAC project experience, strong coordination skills, and hands-on installation/commissioning know-how for chilled water systems and CRAH/CRAC units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in HVAC project engineering.
• Experience delivering large-scale data center or commercial projects is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in HVAC installation, coordination, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with chilled water systems and CRAH/CRAC units.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HVAC design development, shop drawings, and submissions.
• Review project specs, drawings, codes, and standards for compliance.
• Manage site activities to follow approved drawings and schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and clients for technical queries.
• Support testing, commissioning, handover, and documentation.
