Job summary

Sunway Education Group in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Executive - Human Resources (Payroll) to join our HR Department. You will coordinate payroll with our outsourced partner, ensure accurate monthly processing and on-time payments, and maintain employee data in HR systems.

As the primary payroll contact, you will address employee queries, support expatriate tax matters, mentor team members, and contribute to HR projects and compliance reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR management or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant HR/payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of personal income tax and expatriate tax matters.
• Proficient in MS Excel and BI tools such as Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team lead to supervise payroll data collection, validation, and consolidation for outsourcing partner.
• Ensure accurate monthly payroll processing and on-time payments.
• Update employee information and access rights in HR systems.
• Serve as primary payroll contact for employee inquiries and expatriate tax support.
• Provide guidance to team on day-to-day HR operations.
• Offer first-level support for HR systems and e-applications.
• Administer employee benefits programs and assist in compliance reporting.
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
