Job summary

UEM Edgenta Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer (PE) to lead highway construction supervision and project delivery. You will support planning, review drawings and submissions, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant project execution.

The role requires extensive site supervision experience, strong technical leadership, and a proven track record in roadworks projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
15+ years of overall experience, or 12+ years in roadworks/highway construction.
Proven highway/roadworks construction site supervision and project delivery.
Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Professional Engineer (PE).
Strong technical, project management and stakeholder coordination skills.

Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager in planning, design and construction supervision of highway works.
Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
Coordinate with Work Package Contractors, consultants, SOR, project teams, landowners and authorities.
Provide technical guidance to the site team and coordinate with consultants and contractors.
Review method statements, material submissions, shop drawings and design changes.
Monitor quality, HSSE and construction compliance with QA plans and safety reports.
Track project progress against the schedule and flag delays with mitigation measures.
Verify completed works and assist in evaluating contractor progress claims with QS and SOR.
Prepare project reports, site records and progress updates for stakeholders.
Support variations, design changes, and issuance of as-built drawings.
