Job summary

UEM Edgenta Bhd is seeking a senior Civil Engineer to supervise site activities at WP31 Site Office, Telupid, Sabah. You will provide guidance to Clerk of Works, coordinate with site teams, and assist the Resident Engineer in tracking progress and mitigating delays.

You will review QA/QC plans and HSSE manuals, assess method statements, and respond to technical inquiries. The role requires strong knowledge of Malaysian regulations and safety standards, with registration in the Board of Engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of proven site supervision experience in road and bridge projects.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and QA processes.
• Knowledge of Malaysian construction regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and managerial guidance to Clerk of Works (COWs).
• Coordinate with site personnel to ensure construction activities align with drawings and specs, meeting quality standards.
• Assist Resident Engineer in monitoring progress, identifying delays, and mitigation.
• Review QA/QC Plans and HSSE Manuals prepared by Work Package Contractor (WPC).
• Collaborate with RE to evaluate method statements, materials, shop drawings, and traffic management plans by WPC.
• Respond to technical inquiries from WPC and coordinate with design engineers for changes.
• Assist RE in reviewing/site reports: diaries, progress, QAQC, HSSE, maintenance, traffic safety, incident reports.
• Verify WPC's interim claims for works completed.
