Job summary

UEM Edgenta Berhad seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to support planning, design and construction supervision of highway works. You will coordinate with contractors, consultants and authorities to ensure project delivery in line with drawings and specs.

The role requires 15+ years of highway construction experience, PE registration, and strong leadership to manage site teams and complex activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum 15 years of overall experience, or 12 years in strong roadworks/highway construction.
Proven highway/roadworks construction, site supervision and project delivery.
Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Professional Engineer (PE).
Strong technical, project management and stakeholder coordination skills.

Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager in planning, design and construction supervision of highway works.
Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specs and contractual requirements.
Coordinate with WPC, consultants, SOR, project teams and authorities on technical matters.
Provide technical guidance to the site team and coordinate between consultants, contractors and project personnel.
Review method statements, material submissions, shop drawings, design changes and other submissions.
Monitor quality, HSSE and construction compliance with QA plans and HSSE docs.
