Job summary

Moomoo Malaysia is seeking a senior Head of Research to lead our equity research function and ensure the highest quality and regulatory compliance of research output. The role requires CMSRL qualification and the ability to oversee research for APAC and US equities.

You will build robust financial models, publish reports for institutional investors, and lead a team of analysts while engaging clients and maintaining independent research standards across channels.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in financial services with research and content creation.
• Hold or be eligible for CMSRL under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007.
• Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Engineering from a reputable university.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets and products; able to present clearly and concisely.
• Comfortable on camera or with press; strong public speaking ability.
• Mentoring experience preferred; team leadership is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead equity research agenda with governance to meet SC Malaysia requirements.
• Develop and maintain financial models, valuations, and reporting for coverage.
• Create flagship research content, thought leadership, and investor-education materials.
• Engage institutional clients and manage external engagements with professionalism.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of analysts; foster a healthy risk and compliance culture.
