Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a Senior Manufacturing & Quality Engineer for a healthcare technology client. The role focuses on scaling hardware products, validating processes, and ensuring quality across manufacturing, supplier, and product teams.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in high-volume electronics or medical device manufacturing, with strong problem-solving, collaboration, and travel readiness. Remote-first with regional travel around Malaysia as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 9+ years in manufacturing process support, manufacturing engineering, or quality engineering roles.
• Proven experience taking hardware products from NPI through mass production in high-volume environments.
• Strong experience in consumer electronics and/or electro‑mechanical medical device manufacturing.
• Hands-on knowledge of injection molding, metal fabrication, electronics, SMT, batteries, and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, validation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes and production systems for high-volume manufacturing.
• Develop and optimize fabrication, assembly, testing, and packaging processes for quality, reliability, and efficiency.
• Ensure suppliers and contract manufacturers meet design, fabrication, assembly, testing, and quality requirements.
• Lead day-to-day hardware quality processes across manufacturing and supplier operations.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from early development through EVT, DVT, PVT and mass production.
• Lead yield improvement, cost reduction, process validation, and root-cause analysis.
• Apply pFMEA, Process Validation, CAPA, and structured problem-solving to identify and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with CM, JDM, ODM, and OEM partners to align responsibilities and quality expectations.
• Work with suppliers and EMS partners to resolve technical, quality, and production issues.
• Develop a world-class hardware operations and supply chain capability across teams.
• Engage with manufacturers remotely and onsite as required.
• Communicate complex technical issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product, operations, quality, and supplier teams.
• Travel regionally as required to support suppliers and projects.
