Job summary

Westlite Dormitory Management Sdn Bhd in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, is seeking an experienced Accountant to lead the Finance Reporting Team. You will own group reporting across entities, ensuring compliance with SOPs and internal controls established by the UK office and the Group.

Role requires 5–8+ years in financial reporting, strong IFRS/GAAP knowledge, audit handling, and prior team leadership. This on-site position offers exposure to multi-entity reporting and close processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/ Finance required with professional qualification.
• 5–8+ years in financial & group reporting with 2+ years in a lead role.
• Strong technical accounting with IFRS/Group GAAP and audit handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Finance Reporting Team and own the reporting calendar.
• Review journals, reconciliations and reports for accuracy.
• Coach and develop team; manage performance and development plans.
• Ensure timely close (monthly, quarterly, year-end) per Group timetable.
• Prepare Group consolidation packs and coordinate intercompany processes.
• Enforce SOPs, controls, DOA and robust audit trails.
• Act as main contact for auditors and provide required schedules.
• Apply IFRS/Group GAAP policies and issue technical memos when needed.
• Coordinate with Tax on VAT/GST/WHT data and statutory filings.
• Drive data quality, ERP close settings and process automation.
