Job summary

Yong Tai Berhad seeks an experienced Group Accountant to lead monthly and year-end consolidation, and to prepare group quarterly results for Bursa Malaysia, along with group forecasts and budgets. You will oversee subsidiary accounts and coordinate audits to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on governance and policy updates in line with standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance/Accounting/Business or professional accounting qualification (MICPA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
• Must be able to handle group consolidation.
• Minimum of 5 years related working experience with strong expertise in group accounting and consolidation.
• Able to work independently with positive attitude, resourceful and in a fast-paced environment; meticulous with attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Advanced skill with Excel and good with PowerPoint.
• Experience with corporate governance.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly and year-end consolidation, group quarterly results announcement to Bursa Malaysia, group forecasts, budgets and year-end statutory accounts for the Group.
• Oversee the accounts of all subsidiary companies within the Group.
• Perform analytical review of subsidiary companies’ monthly financials.
• End-to-end preparation of the annual report.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors on all audit matters.
• Assist with internal reporting to the Board and external stakeholders such as corporate banks and shareholders.
• Part of a team responsible for establishing, reviewing and updating group accounting policies and procedures in line with changes in business requirements and relevant financial reporting standards.
• Support and undertaking ad-hoc matters as required by Management from time to time.
